To understand impartation, we need to understand anointing, which means “to smear on.” When a prophet or priest poured, rubbed, or smeared oil over the head of someone, it was referred to as anointing that person.
In the New Testament, the anointing of the Holy Spirit can be passed through the laying on of hands or when testimony is shared about receiving an impartation. The anointing abides within us: “But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you…” (1 John 2:27).
The author of Hebrews named the laying on of hands as one of the six fundamental doctrines the Hebrews believers should understand. This doctrine has often been ignored but recently has recently been reintroduced as a fundamental teaching for us. “Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrines about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of…the laying on of hands…” (Hebrews 6:1-2).
Paul taught on an was eager to impart a gift through laying on of hands. He wanted to impart spiritual gifts to the Roman believers to give them a firm foundation: “For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established…” (Rom. 1:11 NKJV).
Wednesday, December 18th we had a Fireplace meeting. For about three weeks leading up to the event, I felt the Lord was encouraging me to go for a fresh impartation. I posted on Facebook and sent emails to encourage our fellowship that it would be a significant meeting. I fasted some leading up to the event and felt excited to see what God would do. I kept being reminded of the Light The Fire Again Conference I attended in 2018 and how the Fire of God was imparted to me by Claudio Freidzon and how during Randy Clark’s teaching and impartation service the Lord showed me in a vision the heavens being opened like a zipper and pouring down.
When the day arrived I was excited and a little nervous to see what God would do. The prayer time was firey and the worship anointed. I taught on impartation and prayed for a fresh anointing for us to empower us in the coming year. Everyone I talked too was touched and tangibly felt the presence of God. Some felt fire, some felt a heavyweight and heat, some felt shaking in their bodies, some felt a deep deep peace. God touched us in a powerful way. God did what he promised me.
On Sunday, December 22, I knew it would be much like it was when I returned from Toronto in 2018 and it was. The presence of God was strong. The fire of God was resting on us like a blanket. It was weighty the glory of God resting on His people. We had one prophetic person fall out under the power of God and shake for a while. He received prophetic words for our fellowship. I took a break between songs and asked him to come share what had happened to him so others would know God was moving powerfully among us. He shared and shared prophetic words. The words were well received and touched many.
Many were touched and commented on how they could feel tangibly the presence. The Lord has shown me and encouraged me to share and release what I have received. I saw a vision of a coin I keep as a remembrance of the double anointing prayer of Claudio. In the vision the coin was put in a jukebox. Time to release the double. I knew there were many more coins to be released. Come Holy Spirit!
2020 looks to be a year of glory. Let Jesus be exalted.
My prayer is that the Lamb of God would receive the rewards for His sufferings.
